I called Thistle on a Wednesday AFTERNOON looking to order 56 sleepers for delivery as soon as possible. Greg said he could guarantee Friday but when I asked if there was any chance of next day he said he’d talk to his colleagues and do his best to make it happen. Even Friday was the best offer I’d had so far so I took it. The price was min £150 cheaper than the next best price. Placed order on the phone but 30 min later dropped into the depot to order additional timbers and Greg not only sorted a good deal out for me on that but gone 5pm went to speak to the guys that had already started picking my sleeper orders to get them to add my battens. Sure enough, Thursday mid afternoon, call from Graham the driver who’s on his way. Tight deep gravel driveway plenty would say no to backing a truck up but after getting out and walking it he agrees to drop the load where I wanted it, saving me a back breaking solo slog. Cheapest price I found for sleepers and they are all great condition which is something I couldn’t say about the last 2 orders I had from MKM which was a mess. Hands down best service I’ve had from a supplier in Scotland, hence the rambling review. 10/10.

Even though the place was busy, Jack took the time to show us the different types of slabs in the yard and different sizes. He explained everything we needed to know and put our mind at ease. A special shout out to Charlie as he was very helpful as well.

Whatever you need for DIY or large construction theyve got you covered. Quick and informed service. Its cheaper here than B&Q and all the other mainstream DIY stores so I highly recommend if your need building materials

Just used Thistle for the majority of the supplies I needed to revamp a new build garden and they were fantastic. Competitively priced and good quality materials were provided. Very friendly and skilled delivery drivers. When there was a slight issue with one of the deliveries it was sorted promptly and without fuss. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
